Resources: Career and Life Planning
The ACCESS Center is sponsored by the Division of Professional and Continuing Studies of the University of Delaware. It provides career counseling, academic advisement, and student services for adult students. Locations in Newark and Georgetown.
Bridge to a New Position provides free workshops on resume writing, interviewing and networkings along with one-on-one consultations with professional Human Resources managers. The program is a collaboration between RSVP, the Delaware Economic Development Office and the Delaware Society of Human Resource Management. Creative Transitions,a program of Connecting Generations, supports individuals through life transitions, particularly the transition from work to retirement. The program offers highly interactive workshops that help participants review their past, take stock of where they are today and plan for the future.
My Next Phase is a commercial, online interactive tool for non-financial life planning. The personality-based process consists of four steps: understanding yourself, balancing your life, exploring your options and refining your role.
