Is Loneliness Contagious?

An average person feels lonely about 48 days out of the year but for the lonely, the feeling can be ever present. New research shows that lonely peopleĀ are attracted to each other and tendĀ to isolate themselves in small groups which compounds their problem. But what is really interesting is the finding that loneliness can spread from person-to-person, up to 3 degrees of separation. And women appear more vulnerable than men to catching it.
