Not To Miss Boomer TV!

Life (Part 2).jpg
If you are a boomer you might want to tune in to Life (Part2), Sundays at 1:30 p.m. on WHYY-TV. Hosted by former New York Times columnist Robert Lipsyte, Life (Part 2) explores how boomers are bringing to aging the same spirit they used to redefine youth in the 60's and 70's. Not a convenient time to watch TV? Then catch all the episodes you have missed by going to the show's website. You will find video on a wide range of subjects such as encore careers, reinvention, dating in mid-life and boomer marriage. You just might get an idea or two that will enrich your second half of life.

Is Loneliness Contagious?

Topics: Health
lonely.jpg
An average person feels lonely about 48 days out of the year but for the lonely, the feeling can be ever present. New research shows that lonely people are attracted to each other and tend to isolate themselves in small groups which compounds their problem. But what is really interesting is the finding that loneliness can spread from person-to-person, up to 3 degrees of separation. And women appear more vulnerable than men to catching it. Click here to learn more about the study and tips on how to stay connected as you age.
